Two-wheel grinding, commonly known as centerless grinding, is a high-efficiency machining process that uses abrasive cutting to remove material from a workpiece without the need for spindles or fixtures to locate and secure it . Instead, the workpiece is supported between two rotary grinding wheels — a high-speed grinding wheel that removes material and a regulating wheel that controls the workpiece rotation and feed rate — while a work rest blade provides support from below .
